The MSMM Scale Model Exhibition 2008 was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Nick Archer British High Commissioner on Thursday 27th March. The exhibition ran until Monday 31st March at the Gonzi Hall on the first floor of the Catholic Institute in Floriana.

Various kit and scratchbuilt models of ships, boats (static and remote controlled), planes, tanks, dioramas, fantasy figures, miniature wood furniture and a train layout were exhibited.

Two guests from the UK based Ribble Model Boat Club participated in this year's exhibition. Tony Kent displayed a 1/16 radio controlled Linde H50 fork lift truck kit by Robbe and a 1/50 Walboot Nach Chapman whale boat kit by Gebherd Kamlerrlander. Barry Taylor displayed a 1/16 radio controlled Renault Magnum HGV tractor unitwhale boat kit by Robbe and a 1/28 Vosper Fire Tender R.A.F. support vessel kit by GT Models.
